The
derrick floor in the center of Gladys City should be noted in association
with the boiler, as all the equipment that would have run that rig is
steam powered. At present, some of the equipment that powered a rig is
located on the grounds of Gladys City and some has been transferred to
the Energy Museum. The equipment has not been replaced on the derrick
floor since the 1986 hurricane that destroyed several of the derricks
in this complex.
